The Sanctuary Shack
The Sanctuary Shack guest house has been featured in major newspapers and on top design blogs such as Remodelista and Apartment Therapy. It is available for short-term vacation and creative rentals.
ModNomad also offers free and subsidized residencies in this live/work space to social artists and activists, journalists, therapists, economists and entrepreneurs instigating for the common good. Let us know what you're up to, and we'll noodle on how we might collaborate and create synthesis with your efforts.
In light of the current administration's shameful moves and bans regarding immigration and travel, ModNomad Studio provides safe shelter from Trumpism. We also offer shelter for women and families in crisis, and on a limited basis we offer both the Sanctuary Shack and the Studio simultaneously for confidential family therapy/crisis intervention programs.
The Sanctuary Shack offers views of Mt. Tamalpais and Richardson Bay, with an ensuite bed/bath, open livingroom/kitchen area featuring the original GoGo Kitchen, a sunporch/studio and deck. The space reflects our ModNomad design and lifestyle aesthetic, and features an eclectic mix of modern, vintage and salvage-design elements along with an inspiring library and art collection.
Heal. Create. Relate. This is the place.
